With a total project budget exceeding $110 million, this project involved the reconversion of a 160,000 SF facility into Univision NewsPort, a large, state-of-the-art television production and operations center. The facility serves as the primary base for Noticias Univision and functions as a central hub for multiple Univision operations. The program includes multiple broadcast studios, control rooms, a 280-station newsroom, and extensive office and creative collaboration spaces supporting 24/7 news operations. Due to its location within the flight path of Miami International Airport, the building incorporates specialized sound-rated construction and advanced acoustical treatments. Mission-critical infrastructure includes a fully redundant mechanical plant, N+1 emergency power systems, two large generators, and substantial online storage capacity—ensuring uninterrupted operations and the ability to withstand a direct hit from a Category 5 hurricane.
