NBCUniversal 4 Washington

A multi-million-dollar, multi-year renovation of NBC4 Washington’s 178,000 SF headquarters at 4001 Nebraska Avenue NW. The project included the full demolition of an outdated 24,000 SF 1960s-era addition and a comprehensive modernization of the remaining facility—originally expanded in disconnected phases over several decades—into a unified, contemporary broadcast operations center. The reimagined headquarters features upgraded studios, collaborative newsrooms, production support environments, technical operations spaces, offices, and mission-critical infrastructure tailored to the needs of a modern media organization. Interiors were completely redesigned to support fluid workflows, cross-team collaboration, and enhanced on-air production capabilities. System improvements included new broadcast integration, MEP modernization, resilient power systems, IT backbone enhancements, and fully refreshed architectural finishes.

Our Role

Served as the Owner’s Representative Schedule Analysis Consultant with broadcast and production subject-matter expertise. Led the evaluation of schedule issues and identification of practical solutions to resolve coordination challenges, helping to bring the project back on track and support a timely, successful completion.
