South Motors Automotive Group completed $51 million in dealership expansions and modernizations aimed at enhancing the customer experience, modernizing facilities, and preparing operations for the future of electric vehicle sales and service. The program included a $35 million BMW/MINI dealership, a 72,000 SF, two-story facility featuring a 20,000 SF showroom, dedicated MINI showroom, customer lounge, six service drive lanes, and a second-floor parking deck. The BMW/MINI facility is among the first dealerships in the United States to implement BMW’s “Retail Next” design concept. The program also included a $17 million Honda dealership and service garage, featuring a state-of-the-art showroom, a shared service center with 109 service stalls, and a multi-level parking deck. Together, the facilities form an integrated automotive campus spanning more than 10 acres. All work was executed through carefully phased construction while maintaining uninterrupted dealership operations.

Our Role

Served as the Owner’s Representative Project Manager, identifying schedule and coordination issues and developing and implementing corrective strategies to resolve challenges related to design, permitting, construction, and owner-direct vendor coordination. Led recovery efforts through rapid construction completion, inspections, punch-list closeout, and final project closeout.
