With a total project budget exceeding $30 million, this initiative involved the migration of more than 4,000 Bank of America associates and the coordinated decommissioning and restoration of over 630,000 SF across 21 floors of the Class A tower at 9 West 57th Street. At the time, it represented the largest “expense” project within Bank of America’s global real estate portfolio. The program supported occupancy of the Bank of America Tower at One Bryant Park (OBP)—the fourth tallest building in the United States (despite its 58 stories) and the world’s first LEED Platinum Class A office tower. Execution required highly coordinated planning across multiple business units, technical teams, and corporate real estate functions to ensure a seamless transition into the new headquarters while restoring vacated spaces to strict landlord requirements. Occupancy and decommissioning activities were performed concurrently across multiple locations and synchronized with OBP’s phased readiness. In parallel, the engagement included management of three existing-site infrastructure upgrade projects, utilizing Six Sigma project management methodologies to ensure process rigor, quality control, and repeatability across all workstreams.
Served as the Owner’s Representative Project Manager, overseeing employee migration and the decommissioning and restoration of vacated facilities.
