Brauser Maimonides Academy (BMA)

This project involved the development, design, and construction of a 32,850 SF, $20M+ ground-up middle school serving grades 5 through 8. The facility includes a gymnasium, kitchen and cafeteria, classrooms, science lab, music room, student lounge, support spaces, and an outdoor playground. The project was designed to expand educational capacity and deliver state-of-the-art learning environments for the school community. The scope also included significant advance roadway improvements to support safe and efficient carpool access. Despite post-pandemic market impacts, the project maintained a controlled budget and achieved on-time schedule delivery.

Our Role

Served as the Owner’s Representative Project Manager, overseeing design and planning, municipal approvals and permitting, and multiple rounds of contractor procurement. Responsibilities also included FF&E planning, procurement, and installation of specialty systems—including the gymnasium and a fully equipped food-service kitchen and cafeteria—construction oversight, punch-list closeout, occupancy, technology design planning, procurement, and implementation, as well as coordination of staff training.

“Working with Michael Kirschner and his team at MKSA was one of the best decisions we made during our campus expansion. Michael was organized, responsive, and fully committed to representing our interests every step of the way. From managing contractors and timelines to navigating complex challenges, he brought clarity and confidence to the entire process. Our new building was completed on time and on budget — we couldn’t have done it without him.”
