This project involved the design and construction of a ground-up, supertall $1.5 billion mixed-use skyscraper that expanded Comcast’s global headquarters and established a major technology and innovation hub in Philadelphia. Rising 1,121 feet with approximately 60 floors, it is the tallest building in both Philadelphia and Pennsylvania. The tower includes advanced office environments for Comcast’s technologists, engineers, and software architects, featuring three-story “sky garden” atria that promote collaboration. It also houses a state-of-the-art Media Center, including television studios for NBC10/WCAU and Telemundo62/WWSI, located on the lower floors. The Four Seasons Hotel occupies floors 48–56, with its lobby and restaurant situated on the 60th floor, offering sweeping city views. At street level, a block-long public “urban room” lobby provides retail, restaurants, and a direct connection to SEPTA’s Suburban Station. Sustainability measures include an innovative chilled-beam cooling system and targeted LEED Platinum certification. Overall, the project reshaped the Philadelphia skyline, strengthened Comcast’s global headquarters presence, and created a major economic and technological anchor for the city.
